Turovský vodopád

Description of the attraction

The Turovsky waterfall is located in a magical place in a valley with the character of a canyon in the Kremnické hills. The waterfall is also known by the local residents under the names Padalo and Skalný vodopád. The place where the nameless right-hand tributary of the Turová stream created the waterfall is really beautiful. If you have been to the Slovak Paradise, it may remind you of its enchanting corners. The Turovsk waterfall is 15 meters high and is of tectonic origin. It is permanent and does not dry out, you can admire it in its greatest strength in the spring or after heavy rains. A trip to the Turovský waterfall is also suitable for families with children. You can get to it from the village of Turová, the road is only about 500 m long. The trail is well marked. There is also an information board near the waterfall. In its vicinity, you can also visit the interesting, erosion-exposed volcanic crater Turovský sopúch.
