Description of the attraction

On the main ridge on the Slovakian-Polish border in the High Tatras lies Mount Rysy. Many firsts are attributed to this place. They are the highest peak in Poland and also the highest border crossing. In addition, Rysy is the most visited peak in the Tatras, which you can reach on your own without using a cable car or accompanied by a mountain guide. Features have three peaks. Right on the border lies the north-western lookout peak. Then there are the middle (main) and south-eastern (lowest). On the Slovak side of Rysov, you can admire the system of three lakes called Žabie plesá. During the ascent, you can make a stop here to gain strength for the next journey. After a rather demanding ascent, you will be rewarded with a beautiful view from the top parts of Rysy on the entire panorama of the Tatras. It is because of this view that many Slovak and foreign tourists go here every year. The features simply captivate you with their unique charm, which makes this place worth the trip. If you want to go on a hike to Rysy, the traditional starting point is Popradské pleso. After a route of about 6 km, you can reach the Žabí plesá through the Mengusovská valley. Next, you will go to Chata pod Rysmi, where you can have refreshments. Then the ascent to the very top awaits you.
