Predajnianske vodopády
Description of the attraction
The Predajnian waterfalls are hidden in dense forests near the village of Predajná. These natural jewels were created on the Čelno stream and are located under the Kelemen tunnel. Due to its uniqueness, the Kelemen tunnel was classified as a technical monument. Predajnianske waterfalls are made up of a system of cascading waterfalls and have two streams. One of them is 5 meters high and the other is half as low. The location was declared a natural monument not only for the beauty of the waterfalls themselves. There are rocky seas and well-preserved animal and plant biocenoses in their surroundings. The path to the Predajniansky waterfalls is not difficult and you can therefore go on it even with children. The gurgling water is pleasantly refreshing in the summer, and in the winter you can admire the enchanting icefalls here. The place can be reached by following the marked route from the village of Predajná (approximately 11 km). You can also go from the village of Lopej (about 9 km). There are also marked cycle paths leading to the waterfalls.
