The Horehronia region has a rich metallurgical production. Its center is the well-known village of Podbrezová, which also houses the Metallurgical Museum Železiarní Podbrezová. The Metallurgical Museum maps the history of this field, you will also learn many interesting facts about the establishment of the Podbrezová ironworks and their influence on the development of the region. The Metallurgical Museum Železiarní Podbrezová currently has two exhibitions open to the public. One of them is situated in the interior, the other in the exterior. The internal exhibition introduces you to historical facts on twenty-two panels, which are documented by photographs, materials and exhibits stored in glass cases.
