Description of the attraction

Among the attractions of the town of Partizánske is undoubtedly the Water Castle in Šimonovany, also called the Castle in Šimonovany. It is one of the oldest buildings of this type in Slovakia. The Gothic-Renaissance Manor in Šimonovany was built in the 12th century. It was originally used for defense purposes. Today it is reconstructed and accessible to the general public. The water castle in Šimonovany is surrounded by a landscaped park where you can stroll. Its interior is also used. Here you will find the extended workplace of the city library with a reading room, a study room and a children's corner, and the exposition of the city museum.
