Description of the attraction
On an area of approximately 6 hectares in the Turzovská vrchovina near the picturesque village of Klokočov, there is an interesting natural phenomenon called Klokočovské rocks. This name refers to interesting spherical sandstone formations, which are a unique phenomenon in the Kysúc area. The Klokočovské skálie nature reserve is also home to some endangered species of animals and plants. You can get to Klokočovské skálie by following the blue tourist sign. The trail starts at the main road. After a relatively steep but not long climb, you will be there in less than 15 minutes. This place is currently part of an educational-tourist trail with four information boards. You will learn a lot of information about this natural phenomenon on them.
