Description of the attraction

Orava is a region that really has a lot to offer tourists. This is evidenced by the Premeny lesa educational trail, which is located in the cadastre of the village of Klin. In the predominantly wooded and mountainous nature of the location, during the hike you will learn about the transformations the forest of the Orava landscape has undergone. You will learn about the influences that shaped it and how rare local ecosystems were created. At individual stops here you will get to know several biotopes. They were created in places where the forest grew in the past. You will also have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. Above the dense forest you will be able to admire the Oravské Beskydy, the Oravská Magura and the Tatras. The forest transformation educational trail is 9 km long and starts at the lower end of the village of Klin (Námestovo district) on the old Kliňanská road. It will take you approximately 3 hours to overcome a moderately difficult route with an elevation gain of 280 m. You will be able to read a lot of information on 13 information boards in Slovak and Polish. The forest transformation educational trail is also an ideal place for organizing school trips. It is also possible to buy information brochures and an interactive workbook for children to walk along the route.
