Cathedral of St. Martina, also known as the Cathedral of St. Martina, is an iconic sacral building in Bratislava. It stands on Rudnay Square and is the largest, oldest and most important temple in the city. Together with Bratislava Castle, it belongs to the most sought-after local historical monuments. Dóm sv. The most striking architectural element is the tower of the cathedral, which reaches a height of up to 85 meters. At its top is a copy of the crown of Saint Stephen, which is a symbol of the important coronation temple. In the past, the Cathedral of St. Martina part of the city fortifications, therefore it also served as a bastion. Dóm sv. Martina has an equally interesting interior, which is decorated with remarkable works by prominent artists. When visiting the temple, the statue of St. Martin on a horse cast in lead. Important church dignitaries, nobles and artists were buried in the catacombs of the cathedral.
