Archeologický skanzen
Description of the attraction
You can go on a trip to the Bronze Age in the village of Nižná Myšla. On the flat hill of Várhega, which is located near the village, monuments of the Ottoman-Fuse Sabonian culture were found during archaeological research. Archaeologists at this place uncovered the remains of a settlement and a burial ground, which is located 200 meters from it. More than 900 graves were found in the cemetery. In each of them, donations were hidden, which were placed there by the deceased, probably by their relatives. Nižná Myšla is an important site of artifacts from the Early Bronze Age. The civic association Collegium Myssle also built a replica of the original dwelling here. In addition to it, you can view the reconstruction of the entrance gate to the settlement and the remains of the found dwellings. The archaeological findings discovered are of worldwide importance. So that visitors can view them as close as possible to the place of discovery, the Myšlanské municipal museum was established in the village of Nižná Myšla. You can find the museum in the building of a former monastery and mansion from the 13th century. You can also go on a nice trip to this location on foot or by bike. Marked routes pass around the site.
