Chata Madam is located in the picturesque mountainous area of the Slovak Paradise in Poráčská dolina near the national nature reserve Červené skaly. The valley is called a small Slovak paradise, because it hides a lot of beauty, such as rock windows, hot springs, or 25 caves - the most famous of which is the Šarkanova hole. The valley offers cycling routes as well as the possibility of hiking through beautiful gorges and canyons with rocky sides.
In the winter season, it is possible to ski directly from the SKI PoráčPark center and the 2 km distant ski center Poráč – Brodok
Accommodation is a suitable starting point for day trips by car to explore the historical monuments of Spiš / Spiš Castle, Levoča, Markušovce/ to the Slovak Paradise, the High Tatras, to the Vrbov thermal swimming pool and to the 18 km distant Spišská Nova Ves / ZOO, cinema, museums, historical square, highest church tower, swimming pool /.
On the ground floor there is a bathroom with shower and toilet, kitchen with dining area with a transition to a covered terrace with comfortable seating with a beautiful view of the surrounding nature and a living room where you can relax and play table football.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms 1/4 with a double bed and 1/ 3 with an extra bed. A cot is available. Part of the cottage is a covered fireplace with a grill.
