Just seven kilometers from the mining town of Rožňava, you can visit the picturesque Slovak village of Betliar. Betliar Manor is a place that attracts many tourists in this village. In it, you can view its original equipment and collections, which are admired by visitors from all over the world. Betliar Manor dates back to the beginning of the 18th century. It was built by Štefan Andráš on the foundations of an older Renaissance mansion that belonged to the Bebek family. Its original building was a one-story building with fortifications and four horn towers. In the course of the following centuries, the manor underwent several construction modifications. The Betliar manor is furnished with rare furniture, which is complemented by beautiful works of art and collections. Among them you will find works of painting, in which the paintings of realists of the 19th century prevail. In the collections on the ground floor, you can admire imported exotic objects and hunting trophies. The stunning beauty does not end in the interior. He will also accompany you on a walk in the park that surrounds the Betliar mansion. The park is decorated with garden ponds and buildings. Among the plants, rare remnants of an ancient yew forest and exotic trees attract attention.
