Description of the attraction

In In 1984, on the initiative of children and their parents, the construction of the Young Naturalists' Station began in Stropkovo. The station operated near the House of Pioneers and Youth. After 1990, thanks to local enthusiasts, it was transformed into ZOO park Stropkov. ZOO park was completed without any financial support. ZOO park Stropkov sets itself the task of enabling children to have fun, but above all to educate. Its location in the city center on the main road to Poland and Ukraine is also ideal for visitors. More than 40,000 tourists from Slovakia and abroad visit it annually. During the tour, it is clear to everyone that Stropkov Zoo Park was created to bring joy to small visitors. It is completed with atypical children's facilities, you can have refreshments in the fairytale buffet Červená čačočka. Also wanted is a contact ZOO for children with the possibility of feeding animals. The entire area is excellently accessible with a stroller, the barrier-free environment is also suitable for the physically challenged.
