Zámutovské skaly
Description of the attraction
The Zámutovská skaly nature reserve stretches between the villages of Zámutov and Rudlov. Here are the majestic rock formations of the same name, which are among the most significant natural creations in the Slanské vrchy. Zámutovské skaly consists of a large complex of rocks overgrown with original oak vegetation. This place develops without human intervention, therefore it has a truly unique charm. Surrounded by forest, you will find yourself among 10-meter high rock walls, towers and various outcrops. The rock rubble formed over time also provides an interesting view. The highest point in the Zámutovská skaly massif is Čierna skala. It was used as a shelter in the past and a defensive rampart is still preserved here. On the northern side of the massif, which is approximately 300 meters long, climbing enthusiasts will find their own way. From above, you will have a view of the surroundings. You can go on a trip to Zámutovské skále at any time of the year. Undemanding hiking is waiting for you, suitable even for the less fit. If you like the Slanské vrchy, you can go to other hills sought after by tourists, for example Šimonka and Praporec.
