The highest point of the White Carpathians is the mountain Veľká Javorina. At the same time, the state border between Slovakia and the Czech Republic passes through this place. On the way to the bosom of beautiful nature, you can see the beauty of this place from a bird's eye view. In addition to the Veľká Javorina transmitter, there is also the Jelenec observation tower. Vrch Veľká Javorina is a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer. Several hiking trails pass through the location starting in Stará Tura (about 10 km), in Lubin and in Poriadí. This place also offers enjoyment for lovers of mountain biking. From Lubina via Hrnčiarové you can reach Veľká Javorina along a 9-kilometer cycle path. Probably the most famous ski resort in the White Carpathians, named Veľká Javorina, is located on its slopes. Here you will find ideal conditions for family skiing, the routes are suitable for beginners and advanced skiers. On the Slovak side, there are several mountain huts available to tourists. The most famous of them is one of the oldest mountain huts in Slovakia — Holubyho chata. In its offer you will find excellent specialties such as deer goulash, delicious gnocchi and other delicacies.
