Description of the attraction

The Krásnohorská cave undoubtedly belongs to the unique natural creations that are located under the surface of the Slovak Karst. This charming cave is located near the village of Krásnohorská Dlhá Lúka and is included in the list of UNESCO World Natural Heritage. Krásnohorská cave is a spring fluviokarst cave, of which 1556 m underground have currently been explored. About 450 m of the entire cave system is accessible to the public. An underground water flow flows through the main part of the cave. The tour route therefore leads along wooden benches, ladders and ropes. The dominant feature of the cave, which you can admire in addition to other decorations, is a gigantic column with a height of 34 meters and the name Rožnavských jaskyniarov's Drop. Visiting the cave requires a certain mobility and fitness from tourists. You and your guide will meet in the grounds of the Jozefína pension in Krásnohorská Dlha Lúka. Here you will get the necessary equipment, consisting of a coverall, a helmet and a headlamp. Then you will move on foot along the approximately 1 km long educational trail. At its end is the entrance to the Krásnohorská cave.
