Description of the attraction

The red stone bar will attract your attention like a magnet from afar. This sharp rock ridge with a rock needle and a massive rock wall creates a unique, beautiful scenery that rises above the village of Červený Kamen. The dominant feature of the place is the limestone monolith, which reaches a height of up to 45 m, and the top of Červená skaly, 732 m above sea level. Fossils can be observed in their walls. The upper parts of the bar offer one more experience. From them you will be able to admire the charming view of the surrounding hills and the village below your feet. At the top you will also find an information board where you will be able to read the local reputation. According to her, the rock opens once a year and allows the brave to enter its mysterious underground corners. Under the monolith there is a statue of the Virgin Mary. It was placed here as a memorial for the 1,500th anniversary of the Marian Church Council in Ephesus. A short educational trail leads to Červenokamenské bradlo around Červenokamenské bradlo.
