Description of the attraction
The Starý Smokovec Hrebienok cable car is powered by a traction cable. Along a single-track route with a length of 2 km, two wagons always set off opposite each other. In the middle of their journey, they go around on a short bifurcated section. The cable car to Hrebienok has been in operation since 1908. In 2007, new, more modern wagons were purchased for its operation, but memorialists remember the old ones with nostalgia. The Starý Smokovec Hrebienok cable car will enrich a trip to the Tatras with an experience that both young and old tourists will enjoy. You can go back on foot or take it in the opposite direction.
