Description of the attraction

Every year, the magical nature of Liptovská welcomes many tourists from all over Slovakia and from abroad. One of the tourist's favorite and frequently visited locations is Ostredok hill, which is the highest peak of Veľká Fatra. Vrch Ostredok offers excellent hiking for all age categories. Vrch Ostredok has two peaks, the main southern one and a slightly lower northern one. Both are woody in nature, thanks to which you can see perfect circular views from them. If you go to this place, you will be able to admire the High, Low and Western Tatras, Kremnické vrchy, the surrounding peaks of Veľká Fatra and Malá Fatra. The slopes of the mountain are relatively smooth and quite steep, so there is a danger of avalanches here in the winter. There is a shelter located on the ascent route, which, if necessary, serves as a shelter from bad weather or for an emergency sleepover. Several hiking trails lead to Ostredok Hill. Their beginning is in the part of the village Liptovské Revúce — Vyšná Revúca (about 11 km). More demanding tourists can choose a circular route that leads through Ploská and Chyžky, you can return via Krížna.
