Necpalské vodopády
Description of the attraction
The massif of the Veľká Fatra mountain range and the mouth of the Turčianska basin are divided by several valleys. One of them is Necpalská dolina, which lies to the north of Blatnická and Gaderská. Its most beautiful place is the Necpalské vodpády, which are located on the Necpalské stream. The first of them is located in the Balcierovo area and is called the Revúcky Mlyn Waterfall. It is at the same time the most distinctive of them all. On the right tributary of the stream you can admire Malý Necpalský waterfall, on a short stream called Osičné, on the other hand, Dolný Necpalský waterfall. The Second Necpal Waterfall is also called by another name. The last waterfall that will beautify your hiking in this area is the First Necpal Waterfall. You can also meet it under the names Horný Necpalský vodopád and Veľký Necpalský vodopád. If you like hiking next to a watercourse full of beautifully falling water, the starting point for the Necpalská valley is the village of Necpaly (about 11 km). The place can also be reached by bicycle along the marked cycle path. A hiking trail marked in blue runs through the valley, leading to the Chata pod Borišov in the saddle below the top of Borišov. Hiking here is not difficult, most of the route is on an asphalt road.
