Description of the attraction

The MR Štefánik Museum opened its doors to the public for the first time in 1990. It is located in the birthplace of MR Štefánik in Košariské, which in the past served as an evangelical parish. The museum belongs to SNM — Museum of Slovak National Councils. Inside the house, you can view six rooms that will guide you through Štefánik's life path. You will learn interesting things about his private life, hobbies and military, diplomatic and political activities. The MR Štefánik Museum exhibits up to 200 objects and has a memorial character. Personal items are also among the exhibited exhibits. Among them you will also find the flight jacket that MR Štefánik was wearing at the time of the plane crash. You will see objects of foreign ethnography and his personal briefcase with initials. The unique atmosphere that the MR Štefánik museum breathes is completed by his quotes and thoughts.
