Pomník gen. i.m. Ilju Danieloviča Dibrova
Description of the attraction
On the ridge of the White Carpathians, about six kilometers above Topolecká, on the border between Slovakia and the Czech Republic, there is a monument to Gen. Ilya Danieloviča Dibrov, who was the commander of the 2nd Stalin brigade. Monument to gen. Ilya Danieloviča Dibrova was built on the place where he was shot during the fighting in the Second World War. Today, it is also a busy crossroads of tourist routes - the red Route of SNP Heroes and the green route. His comrades-in-arms carried the body of their general to Špana (Bošácka dolina), where he was buried. After the end of the war, his body was exhumed and transported to the Soviet Union.
