THE WEAPONS MUSEUM EXHIBITION IS CLOSED DUE TO GENERAL RECONSTRUCTION. COMPLETION AND OPENING IS PLANNED IN 2022. Michalská gate in Bratislava was part of the city fortifications in the 14th century. It was the only one of the originally four entrance gates to the city that was preserved. It was named after the Gothic church of St. Michal, which was located in front of the fortification at that time. However, he was in the 16th century. demolished during the incursions of the Turks. Michalská veja stands proudly above the Michalská gate, which is now the seat of an exhibition of historical weapons. It was established here by the City Museum in Bratislava.
