Did you know that we have Little Croatia in Slovakia? This is the name people refer to the lake in the former quarry near the village of Beňatina. It is because of the beautiful natural scenery and the turquoise clear water, which resembles the famous Plitvice Lakes. The lake in the former quarry near the village of Beňatina is sought after by hundreds of visitors not only from the surrounding area. You will also find foreign tourists here. On the site of the travertine quarry, which is now flooded with water, a natural swimming pool was created here. The lake attracts with its clear water, which is surrounded by travertine walls. It was in them that an approximately 5 m long formation was also found, which is probably a fossilized impression of a fish.
