Kráľova skala - 1377 m n. m.
Description of the attraction
Kráľova skala in Veľká Fatra is a cliff that offers tourists a beautiful view of nature and the surrounding Fatra valleys. It is located near the intersection of hiking trails in the Kráľova studňa location. This place is ideal for a short rest, after which you can go on again. Kráľova skala is for many a kind of imaginary gateway to Veľká Fatra. Its rocky surface is home to several protected lime-loving plants. Around the rock there is a hiking trail marked with a yellow sign, which leads to the valley of Mala Studienka, Dedošová and Gaderská dolina. There is a spring of water under the rock, where you can refresh yourself a little. When you go a little lower, you come across the Kráľova Studňa Mountain Hotel. If you are interested in the King's Rock, the fastest way to get to it is from the village of Turecká (about 8 km) by following the yellow sign that takes you to Malá Krížna. You will then continue along the green road to the bottom of Kráľova skala. The path also leads from Staré Hóra following the blue sign through Majerová skala and to Krížna. There you continue along the main road and follow the red sign to the intersection under Kráľová skala.
