The Hrhov waterfall in the village of Hrhov is one of Slovakia's natural uniques. It is located right in the heart of this village and is the largest and most abundant waterfall in the Slovak Karst. The water here falls from a height of 15 meters, creating beautiful cascades that will completely enchant you with their beauty. Hrhovský waterfall is fed by the Veľká hlava geyser. At the same time, it is one of the most abundant, currently it also serves to supply the village with drinking water. The constant flow of water created a layer of travertine up to 16 meters thick. Experts estimate its age at 5,000 years. The location has also become an important archaeological site. Several fossils and rare finds were discovered here. Hrhovský waterfall is easily accessible, you can get to it using information boards. The village of Hrhov had them installed for better orientation of tourists. The entrance to the waterfall site consists of a gate and a smaller rest area. You can also enjoy the view of the Hrhovský waterfall from above. A metal bridge is built above the highest point, which will allow you to do this.
