Anglický park a kaštieľ Révayovcov
Description of the attraction
!Due to reconstruction, the park and the mansion are currently inaccessible to the public! The English park in Turčianská Štiavnička surrounds a Renaissance mansion built in the second half of the 16th century. Its beautiful, quiet environment is perfect for walks, relaxation, picnics and active leisure time with family and friends. The extensive English park in Turčianská Štiavnička will take you through several beautiful corners. You can view the conservatory, ponds and rare, ancient trees. During your visit, you will be able to get your fill of the atmosphere as cut out of a romantic movie. The English park flows smoothly into the surrounding woods and creates a kind of arboretum. You can also admire the preserved building of the empire greenhouse, the so-called orangery and former rosarium. In the past, up to 160 varieties of roses were grown there. In the shade of the trees on the edge of the park stands the former residence of the noble family of Révay. You may also recognize the mansion from Martin Friča's film Jánošík. A scene in which Count Révay shot Juraj Jánošík was filmed on one of the terraces here. The mansion of the Révays is currently in a bad state, so it is not open to the public.
