Description of the attraction
Bratislava Castle is a well-known symbol of the city of Bratislava, and the bronze statue of Čumil is an integral part of its busy streets. Čumil has been located at the intersection of Laurinská and Panská streets and Ryba Brány since 1997. The statue was created by the painter and sculptor Viktor Hulík. It was not made on the basis of any model, nor is it associated with any historical events. Čumil is simply the materialization of the warm atmosphere that the historic center of Bratislava breathes. Čumil looks out at you on the sidewalk from the canal, smiles and looks dreamily into the distance. The fact that it is very popular with children and tourists is evidenced by their interest in taking photos together. On wandering through the streets of Bratislava, you will certainly be interested in other unmissable sculptures, which are also among the popular attractions. Here you will find a statue of Schöne Nazi and a Napoleonic soldier.
