Štiavnické vrchy are the youngest Carpathian mountains in Slovakia, they were formed by volcanic activity. Between Štiavnické vrchy and Podunajská nížina, there is a picturesque cottage in the village of Devičany.
Štiavnické vrchy are an ideal place for hiking.
Sitno 21 km - hiking, Sitno (1,009.2 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Štiavnické vrchy mountain range, the cradle of European tourism.
