Description of the attraction
On the southern slopes of Poľana, approximately 8 km north of Hriňová, there is the Bystré Waterfall national natural monument. Its impressive height of 23 m and the amount of water make it one of the highest and at the same time the most powerful Slovak waterfalls. After them, even today, the roaring spring of the waterfall flows deep. It is possible to walk around the waterfall using ladders and ropes. Caution is required for personal safety. You can reach this interesting and beautiful place by several paths. You can go here along the educational trail from Hriňová with a length of 3 kilometers. If you are looking for the shortest possible route, the closest to the Bystré waterfall is from Chata Poľana. It will only take you about 30 minutes. The path here goes through a mountain meadow, later it dives into the forest until you reach the valley of Bystrý potok.
