Description of the attraction

The town of Bardejov in eastern Slovakia stands out not only for its beautiful architecture. It also attracts domestic and foreign tourists with its specific square. The Town Hall Square in Bardejov is one of the most beautiful in Slovakia. The Town Hall Square in Bardejov forms the central historical urban zone with an area of 260 x 80 meters. It is created on an irregular checkerboard plan. It is surrounded on three sides by a row of typical middle-class houses. In the north, during your visit, the dominant feature of the city, which is the minor Basilica of St. Aegis. The basilica is connected to the building of the former city humanities school built in the Renaissance style. The beautiful atmosphere breathing history is complemented by the representative building of the town hall from the 16th century. The building was built in the Gothic-Renaissance style and currently serves as an exhibition of the Šariš Museum on the history of the city. If you want to have a wonderful view of the Town Hall Square in Bardejov from above, don't forget to climb the basilica tower. The amount of stairs that you will have to overcome will require some effort from you, but the view will certainly be worth it.
