Banka Lásky - Dom Sládkovičovej Maríny
Description of the attraction
Every Slovak certainly remembers the well-known poem about the unfulfilled love of the poet Andrej Sládkovič for Marína Pischlova. If you would like to visit her birthplace, you will find it at Námestí Svátej Trojice in Banská Štiavnica. The heart of the house is the BANK OF LOVE, which is ready to store and protect up to 100,000 love stories forever. BANK OF LOVE was created from the verses of the longest love poem in the world — Marín. There are as many Love Boxes in each verse as there are letters, signs and spaces in it. Visitors can keep their love in each of them. The epicenter of love experiential exhibition is dedicated to Marín's poem, which for its length is also registered as a world record in the World Record Academy organization. You will be transported into the story of fateful love with the help of modern technology of talking pictures. From them you will hear Andrej Sládkovič confessing his love to Marína. Saládkovič's library is among the sought-after parts of the house, where the original manuscript of Marína's poem is exhibited. He is already 170 years old, but you can still feel the yearning love from him. Part of the exhibition is the Love Meter, which measures the love of each couple and describes it with verses from the poem. The tour can be completed in Slovak, Hungarian or English and lasts approximately 45 minutes.
