Slovakia is full of beautiful and charming places, monuments, natural nooks and crannies that you won't find anywhere else in the world. You can find one of them in the village of Háj. There is a monumental statue of an angel at the local cemetery. The angel statue Háj is not ordinary at all. It has a rich and, one might say, famous history behind it. She stayed in the village until the filming of the Hollywood film "Behind the Enemy Line" was completed, part of which was filmed in the Slovak Karst. She served as a prop in the film. The angel statue is 15 meters high, the authors used polystyrene coated with a layer of laminate to make it. It is located at the end of the so-called Anjelská cesta, which leads above the village. Next to the statue, you can read the information on the boards, which will familiarize you with its origin. If you want to see the angel statue up close, you can get to it very easily. From the village, you will be guided to the location by signposts pointing to the local cemetery.
